In addition to our amazing exhibits, the Science Center also offers several special attractions to add even more fun to your visit!

High Wire Bicycle
Location: 3rd Floor, Mark Taper Foundation Sky Court

The High Wire Bike will be non-operational until further notice.

Defy the laws of gravity! Ride a bicycle across the one-inch cable 43 feet above the ground, and experience a thrilling lesson in physics.The force of gravity on the attached counterweight offsets your weight so you don't fall, demonstrating the law of "center of gravity." (Tickets available for purchase at the box office and at the ride. Riders must wear closed toed shoes that fit securely; Minimum height: 4’4”; Maximum Weight: 210 lbs)

Motion-Based Simulator
Locations: 2nd Floor, near entrance to Creative World

Our multisensory motion-based simulators make you part of the action. These involved learning experiences have themes from the Air and Space Gallery and a variety of interesting science topics. Groups, families and individuals are welcome on the simulator, and rides start every few minutes. (Tickets are available for purchase at the Box Office and at the ride. Riders should be in good physical health and not suffer from dizziness or claustrophobia.)

Ecology Cliff Climb
Scale a sheer rock wall when you buckle in and ascend the Cliff Climb, the new 23-foot high rock-climbing wall at the Science Center. An auto-belay (no drop) system keeps climbers safe during this challenging, gripping climb to the top. (Tickets are available for purchase at the Box Office or at the wall. Climbers must wear closed toed shoes that fit securely; Minimum height: 3’2”; Maximum Weight: 250 lbs)

Attraction Pack
Purchase an Attraction Pack for only $7. The Attraction Pack includes 2 Cave Climbs and 1 ride on the Motion-Based Simulator. Participants must meet certain height and weight requirements (posted at ride). May not be used in conjunction with any other discount.
